Description
Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT) is a blood test that measures the time it takes for blood to clot. It evaluates the efficiency of the intrinsic and common coagulation pathways. APTT is commonly used to diagnose bleeding disorders, monitor heparin therapy, and assess clotting factor deficiencies. Abnormal results may indicate hemophilia, liver disease, or anticoagulant therapy effects.
